What is Toronto Type?
Toronto Type is a blog devoted to the wondrous and weird signs of the city I call home. Here you’ll find my snapshots of assorted signs, coupled with notes and observations. I’ve been at this since 2009 and currently post once a week.
Toronto Type isn’t about Good Design, the latest fonts or the formal rules of typography, although I’m passionate about all those things. It’s about looking at letterforms in their natural urban habitat and studying their behaviour. Think of it as an expedition. Are you on board?
